Famous promoter, Con Jones, who built Callister Park, imported Newsy Lalonde (for reported $3,500) left, and Leo Dandurand from east in 1912, the year Vancouver won world lacrosse championship. Lalonde was voted outstanding lacrosse star of last 50 years. Dandurand was later president of both Montreal Canadiens Hockey Club and Alouettes Football club
